Northerly 20 knots but 10 knots south of Mahia Peninsula. Rising to 35 knots in the north and changing southerly south of Cape Kidnappers tonight. Sea becoming very rough for a time in the north.Northeast swell rising to 2 metres for a time. Poor visibility in periods of rain.

Outlook following 3 days: Becoming early Thursday variable 10 knots south of East Cape, and throughout late Thursday. Becoming Friday northwest 15 knots. Change Saturday southwest 30 knots with rough sea. Moderate southerly swell developing Saturday.
