About East Cape: Easterly 15 knots, rising to 25 knots this morning and to 35 knots this afternoon. Changing northwest 25 knots tonight. Elsewhere: Variable 10 knots, becoming northeast 15 knots this morning, and rising to 25 knots this afternoon. Sea becoming very rough for a time in north. Northeast swell rising to 2 metres. Poor visibility in rain developing this afternoon.

Outlook
Outlook following 3 days: Northwest 20 knots everywhere, then developing later Tuesday southerly 40 knots with very rough sea, easing late Wednesday northeast 15 knots. Moderate northeast swell easing Tuesday and moderate southerly swell developing.
