About East Cape: Easterly 15 knots, becoming northwest 25 knots this morning. Changing southerly 35 knots by evening. Elsewhere: Easterly 20 knots, changing southerly and rising to 35 knots this morning and early afternoon. Sea becoming very rough. Northeast swell rising to 3 metres, for a time. Southerly swell rising to 2 metres. Poor visibility in rain, easing this evening.

Outlook
Outlook following 3 days: Southeast easing Wednesday to 25 knots, tending Thursday northeast 15 knots.Very rough sea easing. Moderate southerly swell easing Thursday.
