Northerly 15 knots, rising to 25 knots in the morning and to 35 knots around midday. Easing to northwest 20 knots south of Mahia Peninsula in the evening. Sea becoming very rough everywhere for a time. Southerly swell 2 metres. Northeast swell 2 metres developing.Fair visibility in rain developing in the morning,easing in the evening.

Outlook

Outlook following 3 days: Becoming Saturday morning northwest 15 knots, but 25 knots in north with rough sea. Moderate southerly swell, easing Sunday.
