Northeast 40 knots, changing northwest 30 knots about East Cape and 15 knots elsewhere about midday, rising to 25 knots in south tonight. Very rough sea easing. Northeast swell rising to 4 metres for a time. Fair visibility in morning rain.

Outlook

Outlook following 3 days: Northwest 20 knots, rising Saturday evening to 35 knots about East Cape with very rough sea and 25 knots elsewhere. Changing overnight Saturday southwest 25 knots everywhere, then easing overnight Sunday to 15 knots. Moderate northeast swell easing Saturday.
