*GALE WARNING IN FORCE*
Northeast 25 knots, rising to 35 knots for a time late afternoon and evening. Becoming northwest 25 knots about East Cape and 15 knots elsewhere overnight. Changing southwest 25 knots south of Mahia in the morning and elsewhere Tuesday afternoon, then rising to 35 knots everywhere in the evening. Sea very rough at times. Northeast swell rising to 3 metre for a time. Southwest swell rising to 2 metres.Poor visibility in periods of rain easing Tuesday evening.

Outlook

Outlook following 3 days: Changing Wednesday afternoon northwest 15 knots and rising Wednesday evening to 30 knots. Changing late Thursday southwest 30 knots. Changing again later Friday northwest 15 knots. Very rough sea easing Wednesday. Moderate southwest swell at times.
